Warehouses live with uneven demand: festive peaks, sale days, new client launches and seasonal dips. They need a dependable core team and the ability to add people quickly, without slipping on accuracy or safety.
TNSL sources warehouse associates locally, trains them on your processes and safety rules, and manages attendance, payroll and compliance, so your operations team can focus on throughput.
Screened for skills, documents and fitness before deployment, and replaced quickly if someone leaves.
The Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, 1970 (CLRA) was repealed when the Labour Codes came into force on 21 November 2025. Contract labour is now governed by the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020 (OSH Code). The Central Rules were notified on 8 May 2026, and states are notifying their own rules.
The contract labour chapter applies where 50 or more contract workers are engaged, up from 20 under CLRA. Every establishment with 10 or more workers needs one unified registration.
Contractors supplying 50 or more workers need a licence. A single licence can now cover several states and stays valid for five years, or a licence can be issued for specific work. TNSL obtains and maintains the licences its deployments need.
Contract labour is generally not allowed in an establishment’s core activities, unless the work is normally done through contractors, is intermittent, or comes from a sudden rise in volume. Wrongful engagement can attract a fine of up to ₹1 lakh.
If a contractor fails to pay wages, the principal employer must pay them. The principal employer must also ensure health, safety and welfare facilities for contract workers.
Drinking water, separate latrines and urinals, washing facilities and first aid for every worker; a canteen where 100 or more workers are employed; a crèche where 50 or more women work.
Every worker gets an appointment letter. Wages at or above the notified minimum are paid on time, PF and ESI are deposited, and registers are kept in the prescribed form.
Where 10 or more inter-state migrant workers are employed, they must be registered and given an annual journey allowance and the same treatment as local workers.
TNSL handles all of this for every associate it deploys and shares challans and records with you as agreed. State rules differ in detail; we apply the rules in force in your state. Position as of November 2026; this is general information, not legal advice.
